Long range forecast / discussion...March 24 to 27

--Most of next week looks partly cloudy and spring like under varying strength high pressure ridging aloft. Late next week and weekend we have more promising low pressure approaching northern California, with snow expected. The pattern remains unsettled 1/2 of the time (potential snow), broken up by periods of high pressure ridging (mostly sunny and milder) following the storm late next weekend/ early the folllowing week (last days of March). The El Nino pattern is weakening, and many are talking about a La Nina sea surface temperature event for the next season. It is never cut and dry in the world of weather! We will watch and update as we get closer. CM
