As the premiere site of the XV Olympic Winter Games in Calgary, Canada Olympic Park is perhaps the most visible legacy of the 1988 Games to visitors and Calgarians alike - truly a one-of-a-kind attraction. Situated 15 minutes from downtown Calgary, at the gateway to the magnificent Rocky Mountains, C.O.P. is unique from most Olympic venues in that it continues to function as a multi-purpose competition, training and recreation area designed for year-round use by both athletes and the general public. In the winter months, the Park is home to more than 292,000 ski and snowboard visits each year. With the second largest snow academy in Canada, there are lessons and programs available in all of C.O.P.?s sports for people of all ages and abilities. C.O.P. also offers introductory programs for the public to experience the exciting sports of bobsleigh, skeleton and luge.
