Take off on the Red Chair to the top of our mountain where you can drop off the mountian in 3 directions! Slide off the back to the Moon Star Mining Camp with the whole family for a lovely trip through the aspens; head down the mountain's front for a long and winding cruise back to the base of the lift; or jump off the side into a maze of bumps and runs that earn their diamonds. And don't discover the sunny west side of the mountain for the short but oh so sweet intermediate to advanced runs off the silver chair. This mountain accomodates skiers of all levels with easy to catch chair lifts and a friendly family atmosphere. Tube with the kids at the end of the day for even more family fun. Red River Ski Area and the town of Red River are almost one in the same. The lifts are right off Main Street within walking distance of 80 % of the village's 6,000 rooms. The variety shops and stores downtown is echoed my the many differnt runs at the ski area. And the good time, Wild West, two-steppin' feel of this old mining community is just the same whether enjoying the slopes or Main Street.
