Long range forecast / discussion...November 01 to 08--The Fall of 2009 will be turning wetter toward mid November. A cool and wet fall
season is expected overall. The winter of 2009-10 is expected to see much less snowfall,
especially when compared to the record amounts seen in 2008-09. Thanks to El Nino,
conditions should be milder, drier and windy for the upcoming winter season. However,
there will be periods of very cold weather, especially near the "full moon" cycles in
December, January and February.
--For those who want to know, the El Nino SST pattern is still in place, weakening some. We will be working up some snowfall comparisons soon to discuss the possible coming winter snowfall. CM
