Long Range Forecast Discussion:

7 day to 2 week+ forecast (since 1998) - 02 to 12 April, 2015 - UTAH/ COLORADO: Next Thursday through Saturday or so we have a stronger storm possibly targeting mainly northern Utah and Colorado with more significant snow. WESTERN US: The absolute scourge of winter 2014-2015 for most of the west (Colorado has been one of the best places to go this winter however), the much hated and freakishly persistent upper-level high pressure ridge (mostly sunny/ dry at the resorts) does not want to give way to a large scale pattern change, even in early April, over to large scale low pressure (needed for the really big storms for the west US). Next Thursday through that weekend (2nd - 5th or so) a storm does move up and over this ridge, with snow (but some snow level issues) for the Inland Northwest, dropping into Wyoming/ Colorado. Following this, we may see some big Pacific storms, though frustratingly late, for heavy late season snow across many western US areas. More detail is coming.
