Long Range Forecast Discussion:

7 day to 2 week+ forecast (since 1998) - 18 to 28 April, 2015 - Pacific Northwest/ Northern California/ UTAH/ COLORADO/ northern New Mexico: April continues much more busy (occasional to frequent snow) with more storms across the western US than we saw in March. For Utah-Colorado-northern New Mexico, we expect a chance for snow Tuesday through Friday (14-17th) as low pressure moves in out of the northwest US. After this, high pressure builds in (less wind, milder, mostly sunny) for a few days. Tahoe-Mammoth, the northern/ central Sierra Nevada Mountains and the Cascades of WA/ OR will also see some snow late Monday and Tuesday (13th-14th), some multiple foot falls of snow for Baker sand others, as this same system moves through. Another storm affects mainly the northern Rocky Mountains through Colorado Saturday through Monday(18th-20th). The west coast including Tahoe-Mammoth and the southwest US, look dry and mostly sunny through this same period. CM
