(please view the 300mb "jet stream" images below)

We know you have been waiting patiently... Overall, the inter-mountain west looks more busy weather-wise as we move toward this weekend/ Halloween and early November/ next week, with a strong and cold storm expected to drop snow across almost all western US resort areas next week, to resort base elevations or below, as it sweeps from the Northwest US (WA/ OR/ ID/ northwest MT, Sunday-Tuesday), to SoCal/ Utah/ Wyoming (Mon-Wed), Arizona/ Colorado (Tue-Fri), and New Mexico (Wed-Fri). Significant snow is possible, favoring the southwest US and northern New Mexico due to the low closing off and taking a southerly route as it moves east into Utah/ Colorado out of the Northwest US. By the end of next week, almost all resort areas of the western US will have some new snow, heavy for some. We will be watching and updating. Forecasts; (Aspen) - (Taos SV) - (Squaw
