Snowforecast.com began in 1995 providing specialized weather forecasts and custom snow reports for some of the top winter ski resorts throughout the Western United States. In 2007, we expanded our forecasting to over 580 ski resorts throughout the United States and Canada. 

Traffic Stats:
Our website is unique in that traffic does not only enter through the homepage. Many users bookmark Forecast Pages or State Summary Pages for specific resorts or regions. So traffic is spread out pretty evenly throughout all pages.  Also, since our website is content oriented, our research shows that people spend 3-5 minutes per page reading our forecasts.  That results in a greater likelihood your ad will be clicked!

The bottom line is that your ad will be seen by individuals who have a passion for snow sports and a yearning to want the most relevant information possible. These are real eyeballs with purchasing power and they spend 3-5 minutes viewing each page. The click-thru % should be anywhere from roughly 1 to 2.5%.

Demographics:
Our Visitors cover a broad demographic spectrum. We have a very high end educated demographic that visit from corporate or .edu domains or are professionals like Doctors, Executives, and Teachers. We also get a significant amount of traffic from Generation X’ers. The commonality between both these demographics are a passion for winter sports and a yearning for the best up to date weather conditions for their ski resort of choice.

International traffic is also highly prevalent. We track visitors from countries like Israel, England, Iran, Australia, Germany, and many others who come to many US resorts to ski or board. So, our reach is Global in scope.

These ads are placed immediately below the SkyScraper and to the right of our Long Range Discussion and Forecast areas on each Forecast page which receive high readership. Because of this, these ads also get a very good click through rate and provide good coverage for a good price point.
